My friend Jane recently told me the great news. After years of trying with her husband, she was finally pregnant. I remember when I get back in college. She and I eagerly wonder which one of us would get pregnant first. We both longed to be mothers but we know at that time we had our careers and school to think about. Many years have passed and I must admit she is now the first one. I’m so happy for her. She also told me after the most recent ultrasound that she is expecting a boy.
I want to surprise Jane and her husband with a wonderful gift for the new baby son. After talking to do to friends as to what type of gift to buy. I am leaning towards boys bedding set. After all bedding sets for baby boys are a necessity for their kids room decor. And chances are, that she will run through many different sets during her son’s childhood. Stretching Exercises Diminish Age
Sometimes I start to think that my age is really catching up with me. Then I remember that I have never believed in that concept in the past and I don’t want to start now. Age is simply a number to which we have attached artificial expectations. There are many simple actions I can take that will diminish any focus on age.
So what are these simple actions? I can get started with some stretching exercises virtually everyday. That would make a considerable impact on how I feel as I go about my activities. Stretching exercises help with flexibility, agility, and balance. They move the muscles and so positively influence the lymph system as well, getting it working a bit more actively.
Pilates exercises include a good deal of stretching, but it doesn’t have to be that complicated. There are a great many books with basic stretching exercises, simple techniques, that essentially involve no learning curve at all. The only curve they require is persistence. If you do them on a regular basis, you will see results and it doesn’t have to take very long.
So a couple other areas to remain aware of and take simple action in are nutrition, sleep, and keeping an active mind. Getting enough sleep is so simple and so important if you want to feel alert and clear headed. Good nutrition contributes tremendously to well being as well. I just have to compare how I feel after I have a cup of coffee and a donut versus a glass of water and piece of fruit. No comparison, right? Very simple.
The third area, keeping an active mind is very easy for me. I love puzzles! Give me a Sudoku and a crossword and I am working my brain. This has already become a daily habit. Now to put a little more emphasis on the others and age will be a thing of the past.
